Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: action man on August 16, 2008, 01:09:02 PM were only in for $60 odd, granted we do have good fold equity, but when i shove this i expect to be snapped by a set, just screams a set imo
Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: Horneris on August 16, 2008, 01:28:55 PM Shove as its Pacific Poker. Shove Party & I Poker too.
Fold Stars & TILT. Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: MC on August 16, 2008, 05:09:06 PM Don't think I get away from a shove here. Think the raise is too big for a set generally. I'm more concerned him having the ace high flush draw.

I'm more concerned him having the ace high flush draw. So you're saying you think he'll fold the ace high FD if you shove, yes? Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: AlexMartin on August 16, 2008, 05:23:55 PM his range here is sets, 89, nut flush draw plus occasionally 6d7d, 10dJd. Stove your equity against this and if villain is solid then this range is right and ur fked.
Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: MC on August 16, 2008, 05:29:30 PM Obviously not but generally hard to believe we're not 50% here most of the time which pot odds dictate shove. On pacific im not ruling out JT or even T7 as possibilities. Ace high flush draw the only hand crushing us imo.

Post by: MC on August 16, 2008, 05:37:15 PM if he has any worse draw that is the case which is very plausible here. JJ, TT. 89 seems too unlikely. 22 is possible but I stand by ship it in.
Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: MC on August 16, 2008, 05:42:28 PM I'm not saying it's wrong to pass here perhaps deepness of stacks makes this safer option.
It's tight and don't think you can say it's a straight forward pass. Title: Re: Ship or Fold? It is considering there is a 3rd person in there who flatted the 48$ bet and who is still to act. what do you think he has? Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: Royal Flush on August 16, 2008, 08:34:53 PM Shove even if its slight -EV its good for
Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: MC on August 16, 2008, 09:06:19 PM Based on his stats, not worried about that guy having more than a pair. Very rare he has the hands we're worried about surely after just flat calling.
Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: AlexMartin on August 17, 2008, 12:56:32 AM lol, if this guy was marginally more lag we can start shoving, hes solid tag over huge sample and is repping huge stength in a spot where he never bluffs. Metagame means shit here, just coz he sees you jam a big draw doesnt mean it will affect future multiway situations where he's repping huge strength, which are so rare and so polarised you might as well fart in the wind and hope it changes his mindset.

Title: Re: Ship or Fold? Post by: snoopy1239 on August 21, 2008, 04:43:24 AM Fold. Very few hands we're not in trouble against here, plus he could have the nut flush draw and the other dude could have a big hand. Don't think your overs are worth much here.
