Title: York Ebor Festival Post by: Pawprint on August 17, 2008, 08:57:03 PM Guys,
I'm going to York on Tuesday. First time at this course for me. Anyone got any good advice on trainers/jockeys that do well at York. Any info would be much appreciated. 3.25 cracking race, Duke of Marmalade v New approach though A O'Brien says the duke may not run if too wet/heavy. I reckon Pipedreamer for a place for Gosden/Fortune 4.40 Drill Sergeant for the M Johnston/Greg Fairley team. Beaten by 6l at Haydock over 1m 3f on heavy going, could/will still be heavy at York but 1 furlong shorter could see this Rock of Gibraltar colt wrap this up Title: Re: York Ebor Festival Post by: TEX FITZ on August 19, 2008, 10:55:41 AM abandoned, they applying to hold day 1 later in the week

Other races crapped. Title: Re: York Ebor Festival Post by: Pawprint on August 19, 2008, 10:46:03 PM Great day. Flight out of Southampton at 7:15am. Arrive at Leeds/Bradford at 8:20am. Went to get hire car, checked on York Racecourse website for the latest update. Abandoned for the day. Earliest flight back was 4:05pm. Nice airport though.
Luckily, i'm not footing the cost, otherwise I really would be annoyed. Thanks for the tips anyway. Title: Re: York Ebor Festival Post by: Colchester Kev on August 19, 2008, 10:51:00 PM off tomorrow as well
