at this level almost everyone chases flushes.
so you really have to get your money in and hope he doesnt hit.

my guess is hes chasing and has hit but then for $3 i wont be surprised if you tell me hes all in with an ace

pre flop is fine. On the flop I think you need to bet higher for a couple of reasons.

The board is very draw heavy with both flush and straight possibilites.

Your oppos stack is 9k so he will perhaps pay more to draw.

A half pot bet doesnt charge enough for the draw.

you want to bet enough here on the flop to get all your chips in on the turn without making it a massive overbet.

The Jd is the worst of cards for you. Its a pass on the end as you arnt beating much he is calling (on the previous streets)with.

Did he have A8 with the 8 of diamonds?

Cheers Jez.

I really cant justify the other players call on the turn.

Esp when he/her turned over Q8...and I called the river cause it was 1500 left and i was willing to pay $3 to see the hand. lol

I had pocket 10's.

Horrible river with majority of chips in already!

On the one hand it is possible he doesn't have the straight or flush here cos the risk of bluffing isn't too high when you look at chip-stacks.

But hard to see what else he is chasing with here. Think you have to fold.
