Title: Good turnout last night at Nottm. ? Post by: Karabiner on May 16, 2005, 01:32:23 PM Did it fill up, and did any 'blondeites' get the bounty ?

Lucky Jim was still hanging in there. Thewy bust out with QQ v A-T - the A-T caught a T high straight! Slo-Mo & Greg Juniior Hill both went about 4 tables fom home. Anthony Nicholls was maassive early doors, but they evaporated. Not sure about Malcolm Muskett. Barry Neville busted out whilst attacking, as ever. Rob Yong went I think, maybe 4 tables out, but Nik Whiten was going OK, stealing for England mind you. Anyone else? The comp made just shy of 23,000. Title: Re: Good turnout last night at Nottm. ? Post by: chrisbruce on May 16, 2005, 02:53:39 PM I managed to scrape in twelth place for a generous 200 consolation when a heavily chipped Greek Jack gave in to the majority (amazing?) and agreed to pay an extra 2 places to the normal 10 prizes. Scottish Peter from the Racing post was also in good shape with every one else in trouble due to the blinds at 3k 6k. This would be my one gripe about an otherwise well run tournament that unfortunately becomes a crap shoot from 2 tables out when the blinds increase enough that with average chips you have but one raise. Sad to see the big blinds calling all in raises with any 2 cards as they are semi committed in the pot.
This is not from my personnel experience last night but just what I observe happening at the table. I exited for my last 20k raising with pocket 10s and against A 10. And good luck to the young lady who took my chips. When I left there were still 2 ladies left in I hope they both had a nice payday at the boys expense. |
