Title: Weight for it Post by: 77dave on August 31, 2008, 12:07:59 AM After following Snattys diary from the beginning and being amazed by his fantastic weight loss I find myself asking what is overweight.
A few people in the diary state to the pound how much they should weigh for there height and age and this defines whether or not they are overweight or not. Surely this cannot be correct for everybody. Surely this is person dependant. I'm 31 years old and 6 foot 3. Im sure it would do me no harm to lose a few pounds or to be a bit fitter or healthier but surely a chart cant decide that im overweight at 15 st 8 pounds. So not bad, but could be better. Title: Re: Weight for it Post by: boldie on August 31, 2008, 11:09:54 AM According to the Wii Fit (the only set of scales I have) I was 2lbs overweight a few weeks ago..so I knocked them off.
I'm now in the top range of what I "should be weighing" but apperantly I could do with losing another 2 stone. I don't have 2 stone to lose...anyone who has ever seen me will know this...I could do with toning up a bit (the old 6 pack isn't what it used to be) but there is no way I could lose anoter 2 stone without it being very unhealthy. You also have to remember that muscle weighs more than fat so weight definitely isn't everything. I am happy now that my weight is back in the right area though...I was very surprised to be 2 lbs overweight. (then again..I never excersized or ate healthy so a change was needed :) ) Title: Re: Weight for it Post by: Grier78 on August 31, 2008, 02:11:07 PM You are overweight if you need someone else to tie your shoelaces.
You are overweight if you add whipped cream to your cornflakes. You are overweight if you need one chair per butt cheek. You are overweight if you are Howard Lederer. Title: Re: Weight for it Post by: Rooky9 on August 31, 2008, 02:41:54 PM get a set of scales that works out body fat percentage, bmi etc as well as weight.
