Ok I was playing the double chance freezeout and was above chip average around level 7 with about 24k chips.

I had told some of the other players at the break there was no way I woud make it back to play tomorrow as I had to be in London
for business so as the clock got nearer to 3am I figured I needed at least 2 hours sleep before catching a train.

I dont get to play in live events too often so was enjoying the experience of playing Paul Gourlay, Julian
and a few other good players but then made a stupid move thinking Paul was stealing only for him to flip aces.

Anyway what are the ethics of dumping your chips in return for a % of that recipient  player. My guess is that is has happened before
in tournaments or is this frowned upon as unethical play?

The thought hadnt struck my mind until the following day but I am sure this must go on.

What do you think the ethics of it might be?

What do you think one of the other players at the table might think of it?

Why were you playing in a two day event when you couldn't make day two?

why on earth are you playing the event in the first place if you can't make day 2?

p.s completely unethical to chip dump for a share.

IMO, it's horribly horribly wrong

Yep - I know I shouldnt have been in it but wanted to gain more live experience.
The move I made was stupid but would have got me up to 33k + chips with 1.5 hours left
if it had come off.
I could then have arrived late following day (around 5pm) to play what was left of any stack.
