Hi

Me and my husband are off to Vegas in about 8 weeks and wondered if anyone has any recommendations?  We're staying at the Venetian and have already decided to play in the deepstack tournaments they're running at the Venetian in early November and will also play at Caesars.  We're looking for some easy, low limit, low max ($300) cash games?  Also, can anyone recommend any good restaurants, steakhouses, breakfast buffets, karaoke bars (!!!) etc

I think there are going to be quite a lot of blondes over there during that time, like you say because of the festivals.  I'm also going out in the last week of October hopefully :)  I've never been before so can't offer loads of advice, but you might want to check this thread out.

Been to many Vegas steakhouses and Del friscos wins hands down

Cafe Lux is all you need for all your breakfast, lunch and dinner requirements. Plus the noodle bar near the poker room is very good. Don't get the food service in the poker room though, it's not good and is over-priced. Better to order from Cafe Luz and wait 20 mins imo.

The chicken tenders in the poker room are a very notable exception.  About $7 and enough to feed 4.  Or me.  The grand lux is very good, but @ Venetian it would be a crime as hubby and wife not to enjoy some of the better restaurants.  Valentinos for lunch (near the cashier cage) or Canelettos (upstairs in St Marks Sq) are decent Italian.  Delmonicos is their steakhouse, but there are better elsewhere.  I particularly recommend Hugos Cellar downtown in the 4Queens for a taste of real old Vegas, but still good enough to compete with modern alternatives, it may well be the best reason to venture downtown at all.  On the strip, Strip House in PH, N9ne in Palms, Gallaghers in NYNY are all excellent.

Enjoy.  And make sure you get the poker rate for your room if you play the festival.

There may be better, but my favourite Italian is at Trevis in Caesars palace.

If you are thinking of shows, don't pay full price unless it is one of the tops shows as plenty of half price tickets available.

Nice restaurant, (when it was Bertollinis, sure its still as good now) but deafeningly loud due to the shopping traffic.

Whilst in Caesars, The Palm (just by the entrance to the forum casino) does an unbelievable fixed menu (still plenty of choice) business lunch, including steak/fish/pasta etc, at rock bottom price.  I wouldn't pay full price there in teh evening, but at lunch time price, its difficult to beat.  Or, by the sports book, Mesa Grill for "posh" Mexican.  Their signature pork dish on the dinner menu will make you never eat pork anywhere else in the world ever again.

and just down the road from the venetian is a restaurant called McDonalds. top class burgers & nuggetts!!!

if you take a trip up to Fremont Street then Tony Roma's grill / steakhouse is . It's downstairs in one of the big Fremont St casinos from memory but well signed
