After our nice touch with st albans on saturday I have found a nice bet.

Scunthorpe vs Bury

Scunny are a cracking bet a 1/2 to beat bury. Scunny going for promotion to the Championship and are 7th in league 1.

Bury are 17th in league 2 and will struggle to stay up.

No team news to really worry about

Bury have improved over the last month since they had a new manager and Scunthorpe could not even beat the mighty Blackpool (Scunny played for 80 mins on Sunday with only 10 men ) gl anyway

it is true that scunny aint playing as good as they were, but they will beat a poor, but improving bury easily in my opinion.

Scunthorpe are 7th in division 1, Bury are 17th in division 2. Scunthorpe are at home, Bury are rubbish.

Normally this should be easy money


However two countervailing points are as follows

On Sunday at Blackpool Scunthorpe's captain Andy Crosby was sent off...he is their key defensive organiser, without him the team went on to conced a further 3 goals against a poor side to lose 5-2

Secondly Peter Beagrie, he of gymnastic goal celebration fame is injured. Beagrie provides a lot of Scunthorpe's attacking nous.

The remainder of the team is young...Scunthorpe are slightly off the boil and Bury are awful, but slightly less awful than before

Finally, Laws the Scunthorpe manager asked for the game to be put back 24 hours because he does not have 16 fit players. Bury refused

There will be a little bit to make tonight by having Harrogate Town and Halifax as two doubles and a single

Harrogate are 2-1 to beat Torquay at home...NAP BET...Torquay have just had to release nine first teamers

Halifax are 7-2 to beat Rushden (who are awful) away

the double would pay over 10-1

Have to say that they lost 5-3 due to a poor referees decision IMO - the sending off was harsh

They will be to strong for a very weak bury team.

I think a 2 goal cushion, and expect a comfortable win

i have followed scunny for years (want to get to a match one day but cant find the place on a map) anyway after there captain was sent off they conceeded 4 goals at the weekend via a 2nd rate blackpool team

with him suspended for tonights game i think scunny will have trouble getting through and think it will be by a single goal if not penalties

before taking the bet check on if it after 90 mins or end of match cause i would fancy this game going into extra time

Ironside i can see the scunny ground from my house and hear when they score lol not much fun for us as were all Lincoln city fans.

Scunthorpe won with a goal after 117 minutes. Does that count as a win or draw, or does only the 90 minute result count?

Other two matches both ended 0-0 and Torquay and Rushden have gone through on penalties.

Blackpool were class on Sunday, Scunny only got one goal with an outragous penalty anyway.

Blackpool are a poor side, one match motivated by playing for a new caretaker manager and ahead of appointment of a new maanger does not change that

p.s got really close on those two non-league teams........not a bad tip at the odds being offered really, unlike Scunny!
