Title: OOP in 3b pot w AQ v crazy scandie 200bb deep. Lol. Post by: AlexMartin on September 20, 2008, 07:58:48 AM Ok this guy is bordering on clinically insane, we have quite a lot of fun together, most recently i 4b shoved K8s and sucked out on AJ and almost immediately after he called a 5b shove pre w 1010 which didnt spike v AA. Unusual to find someone so crazy aggro @ 200nl on here and this river decision is tough i think.
He plays 29/23/4.9 with a 3b % of 10.4 and squeeze of 9%. I didnt 4b pre coz i cant really call a shove. Analysis and input on flop/turn and pre if u want. ***** Hand History for Game 416109895 ***** $200.00 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Friday, September 19, 11:43:12 ET 2008 Table Oxygen 151 (Real Money) Seat 6 is the button Seat 1: Slaven11 ( $225.15 USD ) Seat 2: Manfred ( $115.30 USD ) Seat 3: HinfMethod ( $200.00 USD ) Seat 4: JammyJenny ( $417.82 USD ) Seat 5: fiskeren1 ( $451.50 USD ) Seat 6: ValueCity ( $222.00 USD ) Slaven11 posts small blind [$1.00 USD]. Title: Re: OOP in 3b pot w AQ v crazy scandie 200bb deep. Lol. Post by: Graham C on September 20, 2008, 10:33:13 AM Why have you taken such a passive line in this hand Alex? There's a good chance you are ahead on the flop and turn, not so sure about the river, but it could have been cheaper to check/raise the flop rather than call both.
OK, I should have quit at my last post ;) Title: Re: OOP in 3b pot w AQ v crazy scandie 200bb deep. Lol. Post by: ShatnerPants on September 20, 2008, 10:59:48 AM As you started this latest round of insanity with your K8, the poor bloke is on a swdish website, and his post started something like ;
OK den här stöttan är kant på klinisk sinnessjuk , vi har helt en masse nöje tillsammans ... Madness is a double edged sword. If he thinks you're insane, I can't see what giving him cheap cards will achieve, unless you were hoping to improve yourself. If you didn't bet out on the river coz you thought he'd overtaken you, then you can't be wrong to fold, can you ? I'd have stuck out a blocking bet on the river and prayed, coz I don't like showing weakness to this guy, coz he'll jump all over you with any two. He's probably got it, but where there's doubt, there's a call for me, I'm afraid. Title: Re: OOP in 3b pot w AQ v crazy scandie 200bb deep. Lol. Post by: MC on September 20, 2008, 11:12:03 AM As played, I think you have to call. Otherwise you've kind of just trapped yourself...
If you raised the flop and he shoved I have to assume you're calling. So since then, A9, TT, JQ, KK, KT, (K9), and a club flush have caught up in that time. I guess they are all possible with this guy as you describe him. But A9, KT, K9 would probably check behind? Think your problem is he has air (busted diamond draw?), or he has you crushed. You know he's capable of bluffing this river which makes it all the more difficult. Check-calling works like this sometimes against this kind of opponent, but I think you have to either shove/fold the turn. Two flush draws and a straightening card just appeared. Tricky man, can't blame you for folding if that's what you did. So many hands beat you, and it's pretty much a hero call if you called. Title: Re: OOP in 3b pot w AQ v crazy scandie 200bb deep. Lol. Post by: LuckyLloyd on September 22, 2008, 11:48:09 PM I like your postflop line, and think that is a great card to call on cause it just polarized his range a ton and if he's as crazy as you say you should definitely stack off and pay the man the times he is super strong.
However, given the preflop history, why are you not 4 betting and calling a shove pre? Title: Re: OOP in 3b pot w AQ v crazy scandie 200bb deep. Lol.
