Title: How would you play these hands? Post by: seven2unsuited on September 21, 2008, 07:43:40 PM Sometimes i feel i do not get as much value out of my strong hands, but on the other hand i may gamble too much with the nuts on a strong heavy board.
Pretty early on in this tourney so no real reads except from some obviously very bad players. So how would you tend to play these hands, PokerStars Game #20583070422: Tournament #107931387, $20+$2 Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2008/09/21 14:24:07 ET Table '107931387 11' 9-max Seat #8 is the button Seat 1: josepebhoy (2980 in chips) Seat 2: helstonrfc (2880 in chips) Seat 3: TheChAAoS (4510 in chips) Seat 4: smash77777 (3160 in chips) Seat 5: CH12O4N2P (6150 in chips) Seat 6: Mark018 (2960 in chips) Seat 7: DDMARKDD (2950 in chips) Seat 8: negolo25 (1770 in chips) Seat 9: nickdedick (2640 in chips) nickdedick: posts small blind 10 josepebhoy: posts big blind 20 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to josepebhoy [7c 4s] helstonrfc: folds TheChAAoS: folds smash77777: folds CH12O4N2P: folds Mark018: folds DDMARKDD: folds negolo25: calls 20 nickdedick: calls 10 josepebhoy: checks *** FLOP *** [5c 8s 6d] nickdedick: checks josepebhoy: bets 60 negolo25: calls 60 nickdedick: raises 340 to 400 josepebhoy: calls 340 negolo25: folds *** TURN *** [5c 8s 6d] [Th] nickdedick: bets 480 josepebhoy: raises 520 to 1000 Mark018 re-buys and receives 3000 chips for $20.00 nickdedick: calls 520 *** RIVER *** [5c 8s 6d Th] [4c] nickdedick: bets 1220 and is all-in josepebhoy: calls 1220 *** SHOW DOWN *** nickdedick: shows [6h 7h] (a straight, Four to Eight) josepebhoy: shows [7c 4s] (a straight, Four to Eight) nickdedick collected 2680 from pot josepebhoy collected 2680 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 5360 | Rake 0 Board [5c 8s 6d Th 4c] Seat 1: josepebhoy (big blind) showed [7c 4s] and won (2680) with a straight, Four to Eight Seat 2: helstonrfc folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: TheChAAoS folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 4: smash77777 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 5: CH12O4N2P folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: Mark018 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 7: DDMARKDD folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 8: negolo25 (button) folded on the Flop Seat 9: nickdedick (small blind) showed [6h 7h] and won (2680) with a straight, Four to Eight PokerStars Game #20583248449: Tournament #107931387, $20+$2 Hold'em No Limit - Level II (15/30) - 2008/09/21 14:30:58 ET Table '107931387 11' 9-max Seat #2 is the button Seat 1: josepebhoy (3000 in chips) Seat 2: helstonrfc (2850 in chips) Seat 3: TheChAAoS (4470 in chips) Seat 4: smash77777 (3160 in chips) Seat 5: CH12O4N2P (6150 in chips) Seat 6: Mark018 (5960 in chips) Seat 7: DDMARKDD (3770 in chips) Seat 8: negolo25 (1685 in chips) Seat 9: nickdedick (1955 in chips) TheChAAoS: posts small blind 15 smash77777: posts big blind 30 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to josepebhoy [Tc Jc] CH12O4N2P: folds Mark018: folds DDMARKDD: folds negolo25: calls 30 nickdedick: folds josepebhoy: calls 30 helstonrfc: folds TheChAAoS: calls 15 smash77777: checks *** FLOP *** [Qd As Kd] TheChAAoS: bets 90 smash77777: folds negolo25: raises 150 to 240 josepebhoy: raises 2730 to 2970 and is all-in TheChAAoS: folds negolo25: folds Uncalled bet (2730) returned to josepebhoy josepebhoy collected 690 from pot josepebhoy: doesn't show hand *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 690 | Rake 0 Board [Qd As Kd] Seat 1: josepebhoy collected (690) Seat 2: helstonrfc (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: TheChAAoS (small blind) folded on the Flop Seat 4: smash77777 (big blind) folded on the Flop Seat 5: CH12O4N2P folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: Mark018 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 7: DDMARKDD folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 8: negolo25 folded on the Flop Seat 9: nickdedick folded before Flop (didn't bet) Title: Re: How would you play these hands? Post by: MC on September 22, 2008, 07:32:56 PM Love how you played the first hand. Sick river though :(
Hate how you played 2nd hand though tbh. 3 betting over a raiser looks so strong. They'd have to have 2 pair to look you up so you aren't letting the weak hands put enough money in this pot. Flat call the re-raise and hope a diamond doesn't fall on the turn... |
