Title: APAT Pro Am Stake Post by: the sicilian on October 03, 2008, 02:28:37 PM Here we go.... Due to yet another monster solicitors bill concerning my ongoing bitter divorce i find my poker pot empty (despite cashing a grand this week ) and dying to play the APAT 300.
So i'm looking to sell 50% of myself in 10% chunks (£30) on a 1 for 1 basis Ill be putting in £150 myself.. If i do win the stakes will carry over to the GUKPT final on the same basis The comp and structure suit my game and I feel I have a very good chance of turning a big result. Im in good form finaling 4 of the last 7 Luton £100 comps. I'm a regular in the £50-£100 tournaments at Luton G and have a 1 in 3 Final table record over 170 tournaments. In January I won the Springfest Main event and have also significant wins on line although i havent played online last 2 months...anyone wanting to check my sharkscope and OPR ranking i am raisingh3ll on stars. Tighty and Tikay know me well if you want clarification.. my game has grown and although a partime player I am + £18K for the year..however aforementioned Solicitors have drained me dry. This is a good opportunity I feel but shoot me down but not too harsh... Title: Re: APAT Pro Am Stake Post by: Chompy on October 03, 2008, 03:19:07 PM I'll take 1% for £2.90. I feel this is fair.
Title: Re: APAT Pro Am Stake Post by: tikay on October 03, 2008, 03:30:12 PM Tighty and Tikay know me well if you want clarification Yup, I can vouch. A complete fish. Seriously, If you are "wobbling", I can assure all of you that Sicilian is one of the best 5 players in Luton. He has good game, gets busy, & makes things, rather than lets things, happen. He has a good read on players, & in my view, has a great chance in this. His only weakness is making a move with K-T under the gun, & being quite unable to Pass to a R-R. Title: Re: APAT Pro Am Stake Post by: the sicilian on October 03, 2008, 03:44:34 PM I'll take 10%... A player since 2001 and multi dimensional since 2006, Graham Wheldon is widely regarded as the best Hold'Em tournament player in Luton. Three cashes from a handful of WSOP starts over the past two years have marked him down as one of the hottest prospects in the country and that elusive first bracelet is surely coming, it's just a question of when and then how many.
