Title: LPGA Samsung World Championship
Post by: Karabiner on October 03, 2008, 08:58:13 PM
Ji-Yai Shin is by some distance the finest woman golfer that I have ever seen, imho she will be the best of all time.

Still available @ 6/1 before the 2nd round, I make her an even money shot.

She had an absolute shocker yesterday and was +6 after twelve holes before making two late birdies and finishing at +4, -1 for the tournament at the half-way stage with two more rounds to come, only three shots off the lead and one shot back from second place.

Mind you it was a tough day, cold and breezy and there were very few good scores.

I have pressed @ the 12/1 which is available everywhere.

I trust your judgement Ralp, I got on at 14/1 with VC a little earlier... Shin is now in 2nd place through 11, 1 shot behind Stanford.

And down to 6/1 with VC!

If it were not for a six at the par five last hole yesterday Shin would be a lot closer.

Still, a three shot deficit is by no means insurmountable especially on this tough seaside course with it's thick rough.

But I'm now more hopeful than confident.
