Post by: the sicilian on October 07, 2008, 03:38:41 PM
Live £100 fout early doors blinds 100/200

utg limps.. utg +1 has  Ad Qd and opens for 600 from 9k stack utg +2 good aggressive player re-raises to 2300 total from a 6k stack..folded back round utg folds...

action on utg +1 ... his optimum play and your reasoning  behind the advice

folds, because early on he (utg+2) shouldnt be 3betting for value a range which AQ is ahead of and its live poker so hes rarely/never 3b bluffing.

He's put in over 1/3 of his stack pre so he's not going anywhere, hard to see him doing this with anything but a v strong hand, would imagine something like TT+ AQ+  (??)... easy fold I would say

Yeah fairly straightforward pass here...

Perhaps make a slightly bigger raise preflop also, giving major value to people behind you.

If you are the UTG+2, just stick it in, you will hit your flush.

If oppo is UTG+2, they should fold.  They are either behind, or will end up behind.

TDA ruling on player description though.  That's Trade Descriptions Act rather than Tournament Directors Association..

I think if this is a case of unknown v unknown then this is a clear fold.

I think we need more information in regards to the relationship between the two players. How does each player see each others game.  Does UTG+2 think UTG+1 is an uber fish etc.. etc..
