Title: JJ EP Post by: Graham C on October 08, 2008, 11:30:17 PM Seems I'm not the only one having issues with jacks. I murdered a hand with them a bit back so would like to check here.

Couple of questions: Just calling preflop, was that ok? I have no reads on oppo, seems quite sensible, putting him on a fairly tight range to 3 bet here. Once he's checked the flop, I'm guessing I'm ahead here. I'd have expected a better hand to be leading out but there's the chance he's got a monster and I'm trapping myself but I can't let any more free cards come so lead out for the 5200. Is the play ok? Title: Re: JJ EP Post by: LeKnave on October 08, 2008, 11:39:06 PM I'd just jam pre looking at ur stack size. Its only a pretty small torn so his 3bet range could be fairly wide.
I guess he set you in with QQ on the turn? But as played i would be getting it in on the turn. Open slightly smaller preflop too, @ 200/400, i like 1050. Gives a tad more depth to the hand. Title: Re: JJ EP Post by: NoflopsHomer on October 08, 2008, 11:40:53 PM Shove pre. Raise smaller pre so that his reraise will be smaller and you get more fold equity when you 4bet AI.
Title: Re: JJ EP Post by: Graham C on October 08, 2008, 11:45:40 PM Will do cheers guys, thanks for the input.
As it goes, he folded, I guess he was AK or something, TT maybe? Title: Re: JJ EP Post by: MC on October 09, 2008, 06:57:53 PM Yeah prefer the shove preflop.
As played you have to go with this flop, so shoving turn seems best which you effectively did... |
