Christmas

I can't wait my little girl Jessica is 3years old and this is the  Main event for her and she is looking forward to it big time.
So bed early chrimbo eve as me and Sarah have a chat with Santa. Christmas day up at 5am (this is me waking the kids up)
to open the prezzy's. Our Jessica is in for a new Super Cool Play house if Santa agrees and Dad and Alan from next door can build it.
So then it's Christmas dinner cooked by my good self and I have a open door for freinds and folk on our road to come and have a sherry.

In the evening I get Tea ready for the kids grand parents and open the goodstuff and we have a nice freinds and family tea with a few fireworks.
by time 8pm Comes I'm p***ed and ready for bed

So what do you do for Christmas?

Bedlam in our house from start to finish , few years ago me n Paul had no sleep christmas eve coz the kids stayed awake the WHOLE night !!!
I love Christmas morning , watching the kids and Paul opening there pressies , then we share the cooking duties ( me n Paul )
Then hopefully a farely peaceful day , hasnt happened yet but i live in hope  0:-)

Every year, up until this year, I have spent christmas day with my closest family.  Mum, dad, brother, sister, their partners and kids, grandparents, aunts and uncles and their kids.  Usually 16+ peeps for din dins.

But this year, I thought: SOD IT, IM GOING TO VEGAS!!

So, two weeks ago I booked it and Neil and I are staying at The Wynn Hotel and Casino for 14 glorious days over the festive period.

My two eventually wake up, open their pressies, wreck the house for an hour or two.  Their Dad picks them up to take them to his mum's, and I saunter across the road to my mates house, eat a massive dinner, give my apologies, walk home and fall asleep on the couch till 8pm-ish when the kid's come home with even more carp pressies.

Only problem is that this year ex-outlaw has decided she isn't cooking Xmas Dinner, and now my Ex is panicking what he's going to do!!! 

I AM NOT doing it!  lol

Definately not in the noddy Snoopy  :)

I'm spending Christmas with my parents & my wee sister.

I'll be the mug cooking the Xmas dinnner (which I'll start preparing on the 23rd)

Starter hot smoked salmon

Deboned Turkey, with sage, onion & sausage stuffing
Roast tatties (roasted in goose fat)
Cheese & chive mash
Roast Parsnips
Carrots cooked in orange juice (this really makes a difference to carrots, well worth a try)

& in the chef - 1 bottle Cairn'o'Mohr bramble & oak leaf wine  :D

Sis can do the sweet.

All washed down at the end with a large Old methusalem 15 year old Cuban dark rum.  8)

And that's me accumulated enough brownie points that I can live it large when I go home till the summer & I do the folks a gourmet barbeque.

I too usually spend Xmas in vegas,, have done for the last 5 years..but not this one, decided to help out my daughter by having grandson. Have a great time.........x

A few years back I was working as a contractor in a 24/7/365 manned NMC down outside Warrington.  All other guys were from the surrounding area, so I ended up doing 8am to 10pm - alone in the NMC - frozen chicken dinner for Xmas meal.

Had to call the boozer to ensure I got in (doors shut at 10) - got there and the landlady had saved me a Xmas dinner from her familly do  :D. Ended up in a party in the pub till 5:00am  :D.

Last 2 Christmas days i have spent in casualty. Missus broke foot one year and cracked Coxcics  other one (cant spell it) ... They were the good Christmasses... i wont go into details of others with Drug Overdoses.

Broke me foot as well, but that wasn't half as bad.

My family are doing secret santa this year so I only have to buy one prezzie. 8)

Such is my sloth I'm still going to get it offa the internet though ;sleep;

Broke my foot when 8.5 months pregnant - giving birth in plaster cast was a strange experience to say the least!

Christmas is a bit of a chore for me at the moment.  My missus normally goes to her Aunties who has her side of the family there.  I normally go to my folks house who normally have just my Grandparents there.  When my Grandfather passed away a couple of years ago, Christmas became a bit boring with just the 4 of us (my folks, Nan and me) but I feel bad leaving them going to my aunties-in-laws so I had to do dinner round my parents then go to the other christmas around 6pm which ment no booze for me till then.

This year we're at my parents then we're all off to her aunties - again no booze for me till late on :(

Cant wait till next year though, our daugher will appreciate it then, she's not that fussed at the moment, maybe she will be by xmas but probably not (she's only 15 months)

I was gonna say that Trace  , but as it is i'm  ;scarymoment;  lol

My Christmas will be a bit better than last year I hope. Left everything to the last minute as usual, so I was still wrapping presents into the wee small hours. Didn't hear the kids getting up at the crack of dawn and was woken up by my son saying santa had left him the wrong PS2 game  :(
Christmas Day is usually very quiet in my house, just me, the kids and the soaps. Boxing Day is when the family all get together for Christmas Dinner, we tried this out a couple of years ago and it works a treat. The kids can play with their new toys rather than being dragged out whinging and they get MORE pressies on Boxing day.
This year I will try and be more organized and have pressies wrapped BEFORE Christmas Eve HAHAHA
Now where is that Argos book....
