Post by: snoopy1239 on October 14, 2008, 02:53:56 AM I don't like the way you played this. The board is full of possible draws, plus you could easily play the hand the same with a weaker overpair, so you're never getting him off his hand once he 3bs the turn. I wouldn't have folded either. Personally, I'd fold preflop, but as played, fold flop.
Title: Re: Should this have worked? Post by: WellChief on October 14, 2008, 03:23:15 AM Villain is obviously a donk given his betting but even a donk can see that you can't have a big hand here, would you ever min-raise his turn bet with the range your repping (78, sets) when you shove the turn?
Title: Re: Should this have worked? Post by: Longy on October 14, 2008, 03:30:51 AM PMSL at the turn action in this hand.
I just don't think he is giving this up once he CIB's, have you any reason to think that this guy is thinking anything beyond simple level 1/2 thinking? If not this looks really spewy. Title: Re: Should this have worked? Post by: AlexMartin on October 14, 2008, 03:47:00 PM ur all lying 100%. stacking off with AA here on the turn is not your default line. longy is right of course, once he clicks it back he aint folding. btw this is most deffo how i play monsters v donks a lot too, CIBFTW!
Title: Re: Should this have worked? Post by: WYSINWYG on October 14, 2008, 09:20:45 PM You're betting that he is 1) perceptive 2) can lay down overpair like...ever. Many can't. It just doesn't pay off like that with these guys.
Title: Re: Should this have worked? Post by: MC on October 16, 2008, 07:44:28 PM I think the board is too draw heavy to make this play dude.
Too possible that either he has a big draw and isn't folding or is putting you on a draw and will therefore call. Title: Re: Should this have worked? Post by: Dubai on October 17, 2008, 01:49:20 AM Gotta be a windup thread
