or maybe 8/10 cats being the worst comedy show ever devised the effort really wasnt put in.

she played a writer on the larry sanders show, didnt like her character in that, best comedy series ever fwiw.

So she's intelligent as well as witty and attractive?

...
I think I love her

Didn't find her funny at all, becomes very repetitive and therefore boring, very quickly

I tend to avoid it almost as much as I avoid 'Mock the Week'. I find her humour generally unappealing and 8/10 highlighted why. If stuck, try a jewish gag. If stuck again, try a girly gag. If stuck again, **** Matt Damon.

QFMFT.

Hit on an idea that some people found funny and managed to get some good celebs invloved, but won't be around in 6 months IMO.

whats funny about the ricky gervais one?

Title: Re: Sarah Silverman
Post by: Colchester Kev on October 20, 2008, 04:00:25 PM
The ricky gervais one was probably rehearsed a million times ... If Gervais disappeared any further up his own arse he would be in danger of turning himself inside out.

Yes the office was good ... thats it, you peaked, and a monthly appearance on the Jonathan Ross show is getting embarrassing now.

As for Silverman ... no thanks, typical female comic, there has never been a funny one imo.

Totally agree about Gervais, though have never been a fan

lol

she's been one of the top comics in the US for 15 years, has appeared on god knows how many tv shows, has been in more than 25 films, won an emmy and has had her own tv show for the last year and a half.

so what exactly makes you think she won't be around in 6 months

You can watch every episode of Larry Sanders on youtube.

That's how I spent the month of June.

Search for larry01, larry02 ... larry87 etc etc

lol, uploaded by dezemf or something like that? i think i mustve watched every episode on there atleast 3 times a piece, it goes up to number 88 but there is no way that many so i assume there are a few i havnt seen, would love to get the dvd box set if such a thing exists?

hank, larry and artie i think are my all time 3 favorite sitcom characters, not just one, i think all three are a class above the likes of delboy, david brent and basil faulty, crazy but i think that the 3 of them are as good as eachother and better than anything thats come before.

have you watched when gervais meets shandling? its weird, it seems like shandling doesnt like him and when you see how big a fan of the show gervais is you get the idea that maybe he plagurised the format of the show for the office and the charecter of hank for brent, maybe shandling sees it to, its on youtube when you type in larry sanders on the 2nd or 3 d page, check it out

There are 88 episodes I think, I'm just going through them all for the second time now.

Arty >> Hank >> Larry imho

Been watching her show since it first aired, been a fan of hers since living in the states, one of my favourite comedians, i do however realise that quite a lot of her humour is based on US culture so its no surprise that she isnt a big hit over here.

She was in Something about Mary

i find her funny some times but i think she tries to be too controversial just for the sake of it

It's the best reason for being controversial

Old hank > new hank imo.

Old hank is likable, new hank is a cringe fest and you really don't care about him.

larry13, Wakey wakey hank, best hank episode, all downhill from there.
