They have always had a good squad but never converted that talent into results. Villa and the signings theyve made this year made them an almost definate to be at least top 6. But with the downfall i think Villa will be 5th come end of the season. I don't think Man City will do it this year, but next year they may be top 4. Villa were always a top 6 team when the leagues were a lot closer, it'd be nice to establish ourselves as top 6 club again :)
