If the A hits the flop, you can get out of the way and still have chips to play with. No point in re-raising because you're tossing half your chips in the middle and pretty much committed to tossing the rest in on the flop regardless of what hits. Just me own we opinion on it anyway.

Anyway, I just called looking to play the double-up game, knowing that he'd probably bet his usual amount of 1000 on the flop, which he did.
