Title: Roll Size for MTT's
Post by: Amatay on October 28, 2008, 02:50:13 AM
Been playing mtts' exclusively for 2 months now but don't really know wat the general roll size rules are for them. I know there are alot of mtt players on here and was just wondering what sort of size rolls you should have to play certain sized tourns. I have only been investing between $300 to $500 a night 4 nights a wk, what sized roll am i meant to have?? Cheers.

So your spending up $2K a week, i would say at least $40k, but ideally I dont think you can have too large a roll...

What's your average buy-in and what's your average field size? General thinking is 100x avg buy-in, but i'm sure Flushy mentioned 150x avg buy-in in his diary thread and I believe that was linked to the fact that field sizes are generally getting bigger then when the 100 buy-in rule was the accepted norm. Also, I think that it's generally accepted that if you're playing for a living then you need to protect yourself a bit more, hence the 150 buy-in rule.
