Title: football Manager 2009
Post by: Linux on November 02, 2008, 11:46:58 AM
The demo came out last night. It is the FULL game but you are limited to 1/2 a season.

There are 2 versions:
Vanilla Demo
The vanilla version of the demo is English language only, and features the English and Scottish leagues, with no player photos or logos in order to reduce the size of the download.

The strawberry version of the demo includes all player pictures and logos, with quickstarts for the world's biggest leagues, giving players a chance to try out their skills in leagues from multiple countries. Details of languages and leagues are below.

    * Full Assets
    * In-game languages: English, Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Sweedish
    * Quickstarts: England, Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, Australia, Indonesia

Download here:

I thikn the actual game comne out in about 2 weeks

Enjoy!

OMG i love it, the 3 D think isnt to bad, you can turn it off completely or just have it on for key things like goals, pen etc

Yuck, my laptop really doesn't like this. Don't get the option of the 3.d match view and the 2.d one skips pretty bad. Had no problems at all with 2008 so don't know whats changed cause it looks pretty much the same other than the tv view in the match centre bit. Hopefully the actual game runs more smoothly.

Some of you might already know this, but i know Linux doesnt:

If you have multiple monitors, like all true grinders do, you can go to preferences>Display & Sound>Display Mode>Windowed

So you can play Poker or watch ninjavideo on 1 screen and play fm on the other. weeeee

The injuries in this game are rather annoying, have 5 injured players after 3 games, they better get that fixed. 100k budget for Leeds so its gonna be hard, i bought Fowler for 85k but of course injured first match and out for 2 months along with Beckford. The press conference thing is good, although it could get very repetitive. I wish Delph was slightly better at the start of the game and Kilkenny was not the key player according to Staunton. Anyone know how to sort out a network league thing, could maybe have a blonde one for the new game when it comes out?

i've played network games numerous times but they run slow with 3 people nevermind a ton of blondes. There was meant to be an FM online version being released, not heard anything recently.

My housemate is a beta tester for the online version, i think the release date has been put back. I will ask him tonight.

the problem with playing over the net is you have to get everyone together at the same time

things crop up and one or 2 people cant make it one week then the next time a different person cant make it

then you get the problem with someone deciding to go walk the dog and forgetting to adnvace first

i only ever play it with my lan rather than the net
