Title: Puzzles,PortaPuzzle and Sat Nav - Anyone? Post by: Laxie on November 12, 2008, 09:43:03 AM Christmas on the way and I start my yearly panic shopping for the in-laws early this year. She's into puzzles...BIG TIME. She even has them framed afterwards, ffs. A friend mentioned something called a Jigroll for storing puzzles that aren't complete and during my google search, I've found another thing called a PortaPuzzle. Anyone use either of these? Big difference in price between them and I don't want to waste money on something that'll end up in the rubbish a few months later.
Also...thinking of getting them a sat nav. They're in their mid-late 70's. It needs to be super easy to use. They've only lately figured out how to search the net on the laptop we got them last year. Sigh. Any ideas, suggestions, links regarding either would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! Title: Re: Puzzles,PortaPuzzle and Sat Nav - Anyone? Will stick to UK/Ireland and possibly upgrade to the 'traffic' version of whatever we get. Do I want the ONE, XL or GO range? Title: Re: Puzzles,PortaPuzzle and Sat Nav - Anyone? Post by: TheChipPrince on November 12, 2008, 12:43:04 PM Ive got the one, but ive had it 2 years so there's probably a newer version out for a 1/3 of the price...

We borrowed an XL one recently and it was the same,,,,,but a bit bigger, perhaps handy but it's only slightly larger and personally, I didnt' think it was worth it. Might be a good idea for older people who are prone to mis-reads though. |
