I'd bet about half the pot or something, cos he's calling to play the board, and if he raises it probably won't be too expensive when he has a jack... Title: Re: Bet the river here????? There may well be some blind vs blind history between you, but bet out and start building a pot surely? If you don't get called on the flop it's unlikely he's going to hit something that gets him interested.

I am not comfortable and do not have the bankroll for playing $10 / $20. I sat at the table as I was tilted from several beats on another table. Pre flop I expect him to raise and I intend to call and hope to flop a set.............. On the flop I check as I expect him to bet........... I bet the turn and hope he has a jack......... when the Jack hits the river it feels like a kick in the bollox and my tilted mind fails to rationalise it properly for what it is. I convince myself the villan has made bigger quads and plan to weakly check call........... I win the pot of course as the villan has none of it, so little in fact It would have been difficult to get paid any more except perhaps a 1/2 pot river. The pot did do me a huge favour though as I stopped playing and I have had a few days off from poker which I feel I needed. Title: Re: Bet the river here?????
