Definitely bet. There is a fairly remote chance your aggressive oppo has flopped a flush, but a very high probability he will represent one. If you check he will probably take a standard stab at it. That's good. But what's bad is that if you call or even raise that bet villain will prob give the hand up...unless you're already beat of course. On the other hand, if you bet you give villain a big temptation to come over the top with lots of different hands including single hearts. For all the times you are gonna run into a flush you must get value from hands when you don't. Your oppo is being aggressive and he will be thinking the same as us & agree there is little chance his oppo has flopped a flush. That coupled with the fact he knows you will prob be standing up for yourself light means the potential for him to be lairy is very high. A much higher % than he has a flush or a boat anyway. So let's get all his chips. We can only do that if we bet.

So bet and call and shove Mantis?? You think he shoves worse here?

I would prob bet here too, as mantis says you're prob in front. However, I always feel that defending your blinds with trash can easily lead to trouble as this may turn out to prove. Basically, I think that he is either raising with trash also in which case there is a (small) chance he could have something like 6-3 and got lucky or may have flopped the flush and trying to trap you based on your reraise pre. I'd prob be inclined to agree with mantis here and bet out and call a shove as you're most likely in front but even if he has one heart you're vulnerable and, personally, if I get knocked out of a tournament with rubbish like Q-3, even if I'm outdrawn, I'm quite pissed off with myself. My advice here is give him your blind this time until you get a more playable hand like suited connectors, the stacks are easily big enough to let a few go- don't take blind stealing too personally, especially at this stage.

This guy has like 9k left and there'll be about 9k in the pot when you bet into a bluffable board. So yes, I think he shoves with worse a lot in this situation. You're not c-folding I don't think so betting is the best way to get the chips in.

i would bet 3/4 - full pot here . its very unlikely he has u beat here imo. but i will still call a shove if he decides to shove.
but there is still plently of play left in ur stack and like x_posed says u can wait for a better hand to defend ur blind with

Yip.... KThh, sigh

I bet with the intention of calling a shove as at the time it seemed like perfect spot for him to bluff/semibluff if he had a hand like AJ/KJ/QJ with the kicker being a heart... I thought it was a cooler at the time, but then started to wonder! ta

The odds that he is bluffing/semi-bluffing are more than compensated for by the size of the pot. Don't forget you are mildly irritated by the fact that your oppo could have a flush....and commit anyway, but your oppo will be mildly irritated that his flush has just got done by a boat...and commited anyway. Should he fold here, just in case? Don't think so. You still have Q's, J's, 6's & 3's FTW.

hmm so you think fold to this player but call an unknown? Or you bet/fold here regardless?
