Post by: Moskvich on November 19, 2008, 10:27:22 AM Personally no - I think you're more likely to get value on the river than on the turn, because it looks bluffier and because they might help you out by betting the river themselves. Also, if you bet here and one of them does have the A, you can't really avoid getting it all in. If you check and one of them has the A, they're quite likely to bet small on the river and at least leave you with a few hundred if you just flat it. If you check and it's checked to you on the river then you can be pretty confident the A isn't out and maybe value shove?
I might be putting too much value on being left with a few hundred chips though, suspect I do that in SNGs. Maybe you should just shove river anyway if bet into? Dunno. You're better at these than I am anyway, why are you asking me..? Title: Re: $50 STT - Do you value bet KK on the turn? Post by: EvilPie on November 19, 2008, 10:35:39 AM Can't really see the point in value betting here.
Who's going to pay you off? I prefer to check it down and call a bet on the river if one is made. Title: Re: $50 STT - Do you value bet KK on the turn? Post by: thetank on November 19, 2008, 10:40:53 AM I checked turn.
Offsuit deuce on river, again it is checked to me. Do I value bet now? Title: Re: $50 STT - Do you value bet KK on the turn? Post by: Longy on November 19, 2008, 10:49:45 AM I would value bet the river nice and small less than 1/2 pot, trying to get a crying call from some random pair etc.
I don't like betting the turn 3 ways, i would if the pot was heads up on the turn or stacks were deeper. Title: Re: $50 STT - Do you value bet KK on the turn? Post by: thetank on November 19, 2008, 10:59:22 AM I checked the river like a big brainless nit
One showed Qx, the other Jx fml, do I think they're gonna check the ace 3 times, wtf? sigh.... I play bad. Still managed to get out for the day and somehow make a whole $15! I don't mind checking the turn...but you have to bet the river if it checks to you!!! Title: Re: $50 STT - Do you value bet KK on the turn?
