Title: Pick a hand, any hand.
Post by: yt on November 21, 2005, 04:14:47 PM
If someone can post a hand below then if I get it tonight in the rebuy (Harlow dogs £10R) period then I will go all in with it!
I will let you know how it does. I might use the first couple of sugestions to make sure I have at least one all-in for a laugh.
If you can say why you want me to play that hand all-in as well....

I kept getting it yesterday but just couldn't bring myself to RR with it... would be nice for someone else to tell me how that would work out :)

Sorry, I knew what you were after something like 47o but thought I'd be facetious and pick a hand one would probably be all-in in a re-buy tournament anyway.

for me if its early in the game only AA or KK would see me all-in. later in game when blinds are bigger, id go with AK, high pair above JJ. But im tight and usually do well till after 90 mins mark then get loose and lose..

anyhand with a 3, we all know its the magic number.  Anyway 3's are high like in brag...right

I have the self-destructive tendency to raise heavily with  7c 2h simply because it amuses me

Many thanks for the responses, I should have been clearer in my original post, I was looking for a 'joke' hand to lump in with just to mix it up a bit in the rebuy.

I waited for 45soooted but it never came. None of the others happened either and the closest I got to the suggestions above was the magic number 3 when I got Jc3c. It was raised before me so I had to go all in. Got another caller as well as the original raiser. They had AK and AJ so my Jack was locked up! Never mind because a 3 on the flop looked just fine and the Jack on the turn made me two pair. I got sooooo much stick from the table but I just lapped it up. All in all if you can afford it, it's good to have a hand to gamble with don't you think? It created a lot of fun at the table anyway

After the rebuy I got the exact same hand on the button and pushed again. Both blinds folded so I had to show down the old Jc3c again, more stick was forthcoming from the table. Eventually I went out (about 27th urghh) when my AT hit two pair on the flop only to run into a guy who slow played his Aces.

For those interested Harlow dogs had 61 runners last night for the £10R. The prize pool reached over £1500 and first place took £480odd, top 9 paid.

madasahatstand is very loose after 90 mins? Probably very sore too!
