Post by: kinboshi on November 28, 2008, 12:45:37 PM Tiling large, flat surfaces isn't too difficult - BUT, throw in awkward bits such as working round pipes, sinks, or walls that aren't flat - and then you can have a lot of fun.
Also, it's advisable to get good quality grout and sealant, etc. Microban stuff isn't cheap, but the good stuff tends to have it (recommended by my tiler), and it withstands mould and discolouration over time. It's not too difficult if you have the right tools and the floors/walls are level. Cuts around pipes and that can be done using tile 'nips' or a wee grinder. Just use a pencil to draw out what you want removed from the tile first, follow the lines and you'll be grand.
