Title: one for the techies
Post by: Claw75 on December 04, 2008, 08:19:26 PM
My laptop doesn't seem to be recognising my DVD drive.  The device status says:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

Help!!!!

As the great Colin Asbury once said, 'never under-estimate the power of the on-off switch'.

Hit monitor hard with a 12lb sledgehammer ... then go out and buy a new one that was made this century.

That definitely looks like changing the settings on the monitor menu would fix it (by that I mean the buttons on the actual monitor rather than anything through the computer).

But if you've tried that then I guess the next solution would involve a hammer.

I take it you've saved the settings on the monitor once you've changed them and not just exited?  (if there is an option to save)

A quick tidy up wouldn't go a miss either ;)
