Title: O/T Mobile phones Post by: ifm on November 23, 2005, 03:25:24 AM Right it's upgrade time and i was wondering what the best phones are at the moment?
I really like the nokia 8800 but a couple of my pals have them and reckon the reception is shite. Not really interested in all the bangs and bells but hey it's a free upgrade so i may aswell have the best :) Title: Re: O/T Mobile phones Post by: dik9 on November 23, 2005, 03:42:57 AM Nokia 6230i (will be classed as being "old" after Christmas, but its the best phone I have had since the 8850. Or the new Nokia communicator so you can get blonde on the move.
Title: Re: O/T Mobile phones Post by: Robert HM on November 23, 2005, 09:06:02 AM I used to have a communicator, but upgraded away from it. I miss it and want a new one. Great bit of kit.

Title: Re: O/T Mobile phones Post by: Graham C on November 23, 2005, 09:24:55 AM isnt the 6230 old already ;) Nice phone though.
I like the sony k700i, i guess the newer k750i will be another step up. never had a problem with them (last phone was a sony too) I think Im going to get the nokia 6680 next though. Isnt reception down to the network you are on though ? Title: Re: O/T Mobile phones Post by: TheJagster on November 23, 2005, 09:42:46 AM I take a lot of photos for work and as these are needed onlt on a small size format, I dont need a particularly high resolution.
I decided I could use my phone for this and as a result have been using the 2 mp cameras on the market. Have used both the Sony k700i and the Samsung D600. They're both good phones (bout as good as you will get under 3g). Prefer the operation of the Samsung but the Sony has the advantage of better protection for the camera (as the lens is exposed all the time on the Samsung). Your choice but I would recommend you have a look at these two. Title: Re: O/T Mobile phones Post by: yt on November 23, 2005, 09:58:25 AM I recently upgraded my Nokia 6230 to a Samsung E720 which I am well pleased with. Nice compact flippy phone not too many bells and whistles, cool clock on the front cover, light weight as well. 1megapixal camera.
hated the 6230, the button for navigating the menu was rubbish. the 6230i has corrected that but i couldnt face another year with that phone! |
