Title: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: DaveShoelace on December 15, 2008, 10:11:25 AM Its looking like a cert for June 2009. Haye is a very brave man, I think he would have a very good chance against Vladimir but this could be a step too far, especially as he has only fought at Heavyweight twice.
Its things like this that should make Audley Harrison ashamed of himself. Harrison is still fighting (and losing to) journeymen after 8 years as a pro and god knows how much money thrown at him, whereas Haye has just thrown himself in the deep end right away. Good luck to him (Id love to see Haye batter Harrison btw) Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: kinboshi on December 15, 2008, 11:20:21 AM How dull was the Klitschko fight against Rahman? Never been more underwhelmed watching a world title heavyweight fight.
Haye v Klitschko (and he could fight either of them) would be a different matter. The brothers are good, but very easy to hit and as long as Haye can move for 12 rounds he has a very good chance of winning. Of course, with Haye there's also the risk he'll get caught and you don't want Klitschko to catch you. Haye v Harrison would be good to watch for comedy value. I reckon Harrison would dive on to the floor before Haye had a chance to belt him. Haye certainly has the tools to beat either Klitschko, the problem is he was a bit chiinny at Cruiserweight and if he gets tagged he is going down. It will certainly be about as exciting a fight you will see at heavyweight these days. As you said this match-up will be about as good as it gets in the HW division atm so would definately be looking forward to it if it's made. Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: The Baron on December 15, 2008, 07:12:30 PM I think Haye would beat Wladamir but lose to Vitali.
Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: Longy on December 15, 2008, 09:34:08 PM Well at least Haye has made the Heavyweight division interesting again, he is pretty quick for his weight and certainly can whack. Which makes him about 10 times more interesting than anything else out there.
I hope he wins not only will be good for British boxing, i think it will be good for heavyweight boxing as a whole. Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: kinboshi on April 02, 2009, 05:27:35 PM http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7953192.stm
Haye v Wladimir rather than his brother. Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: Christo! on April 02, 2009, 07:15:45 PM Would love to see Haye v Harrison
Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: kinboshi on April 02, 2009, 07:32:24 PM Would love to see Haye v Harrison Harrison would hit the floor before a punch got anywhere near him! Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: cia260895 on April 02, 2009, 08:17:00 PM Would love to see Haye v Harrison Harrison would hit the floor before a punch got anywhere near him! and he would object that the floor was too hard. Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: cia260895 on April 02, 2009, 08:26:11 PM Am thinking this is a step to early for haye seeing as he has only just come up to heavyweight, would have preferred him to have another couple of fights at least before challenging,to prove his chin against the big boys.
Title: Re: David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko Post by: Hairydude on April 02, 2009, 09:09:27 PM still looking forward to it-hope he can do it though as he's at least bringing about a bit of excitement in the heavyweights that has been missing for years

It probably is a bit early for him to fight a Kiltschko, but fair play for having a crack, the division needs people like him. He must be very confident he can do it, otherwise he would have ducked this fight and gone for someone like Harrison for the CV. TBH he has as good a chance as anyone against the lesser, chinnier Klitischo, who has been floored by smaller men before. Really hope he wins. |
