Also about time that Chairman realise that ex-players do not automatically make good managers..in fact most of them are collosal tools when it comes to managing a club. Arsenal are misfiring badly just now Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: kinboshi on December 21, 2008, 03:16:38 PM As a Liverpool fan I truly have no idea what will happen today. We haven't been playing badly, but have let the 'smaller' sides off the hook through poor attacking play. With Torres and Mascherano in the side, I'd feel a lot more confident. I know we beat Chelsea and Manu without Torres, and I hope we can raise our game against Arsenal.
No Rafa at the match either, as he's still suffering from his kidney stones. What do the Arsenal fans think about today's game? Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: Colchester Kev on December 21, 2008, 03:22:30 PM Keane starts I believe, he will be hungry to score today.

Going forwards he's been from good to very good in a few recent games (note few and recent lol). The defensive side of being a full back you can learn, unlike being a centre half. He'll be ok.
Andy Gray is tactically the worst commentator/pundit on television with maybe the exception of Paul Merson. How he is Sky's marquee analysis man I will never know. Insua >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dossena He can go forward and cross as well as Dossena, but he can also defend. 19 years old, so he's going to improve as well. Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: kinboshi on December 21, 2008, 06:33:13 PM I like Agger tbh, is he liked by the fans ? Oh yes, Agger is quality. It's funny, when Skrtel was playing alongside Carragher earlier in the season, Agger couldn't get into the side. Skrtel's injury gave him a chance to re-establish himself. He didn't grab this opportunity (for whatever reason). However, he's getting back to form now and is a very decent centre back - comfortable with the ball and bringing it forward out of defence. He also has a hell of a shot on him as well. I think there have been problems off the pitch with him getting mixed up with the wrong crowd and various other rumours. Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: boldie on December 21, 2008, 06:33:24 PM Liverpool were utterly dire after the red card. indeed..completely woeful [ ] Rafa got his tactics right after the sending off. p.s. Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: sweet potata! on December 22, 2008, 10:45:05 AM Just my 2p worth about Dossena playing for Liverpool , he is Fcking rubbish(against Hull he was even worse than rubbish) , i would deffo have Aurelio or Insua in ahead of him every day of the week
That is all Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: TheChipPrince on December 22, 2008, 10:48:23 AM He's had an awful start, but you dont play LB for Italy without doing something right, at some point. All 3 LB's are sub-standard for a top 4 team, never mind a team at the top.

I wasn't a massive Riise fan, and he got an extra 2 seasons because of his goal against UTD, but i'd have him back now... Meh his form really did dip towards the end of his tenure at Anfield , he could barely pass a ball never mind score , his confidence was shattered so i wouldnt really have him back On the other hand id take Warnock back hows about that ? Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: TheChipPrince on December 22, 2008, 11:06:20 AM Yeah i dont mind Warnock, but again he's not a player who will ever play regularly for a team aspiring to win the league
Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: The Baron on December 27, 2008, 01:33:01 PM Aurelio is a good player when fit. He has an excellent shot and cross and as in the Champions League quarters with Arsenal last season he's defensively sound. He is just NEVER fit.
Insua looked very good again yesterday both in attack and defence. Title: Re: Todays coupon Post by: Colchester Kev on December 28, 2008, 10:41:54 AM Looks like you could be getting Glen Johnson from Pompey ... 9 million being touted, BARGAIN imo.
