So was just about to boot up some tables and my screens flash for a micro second. I ignore that as I thought maybe it was a powersurge. Then, after a few moments a lot of the screen has a purple tint to it on both monitors.

Anyway, I unplug one of the monitors in hope the gfx card resets itself but no joy, still purple shit. Infact now, when I turn it on, it's full on purple and black lines :(

I have opened my case and cleaned the 5 inch  thick dust that covered everything in hope that my gfx card has just overheated but nope.

My drivers are up to date and the monitor definitely works fine.

Is my gfx card busto?


P.S It's an 8800gtx if that means anything to any fellow geeks.

You could try reseating it.. taking it out and back in again .. else yeh its gone.

Check to see if it has warranty though and how long its for.. mine went in the summer and I got it replaced by overclockers.
