Title: The Downside of London Post by: snoopy1239 on January 12, 2009, 03:00:06 PM Parking inspectors, they're ruthless here. If your wheel is on the line, they'll stick a ticket on your windscreen. I parked outside my flat last night not realising they plonked a 'suspended parking' sign up (I wouldn't be surprised if it went up this morning). What did they charge me to collect it from up the road? £260 plus daily fees until I collect. fml.
Title: Re: The Downside of London Post by: WYSINWYG on January 12, 2009, 03:03:11 PM I caught one putting a ticket on my car (Borough of Ealing). He was very nice to me, and explained that I should write in and complain about it, they normally can't be bothered with the hassle, and waive it. I've challenged 4 tickets, none were followed up. Worth a try.

Have a rake round that forum and consider the circumstances and whether you should appeal. Sandy Title: Re: The Downside of London Post by: bobAlike on January 12, 2009, 08:52:32 PM Whilst eating in a restaurant on Shaftsbury Avenue I witnessed the most horrendous traffic warden behaviour;
A car pulls up outside the restaurant as the driver was on the phone. 10 feet away a traffic warden was hiding from view of the driver behind a post box writing a ticket. The traffic warden then jumps from behind post box and slaps ticket under wiper and runs off just as the driver is just about to pull out. This all happened in less than a minute. These people need shooting! FACT Title: Re: The Downside of London Post by: thetank on January 12, 2009, 09:22:09 PM fyl Snoopy

Maybe they should have, worth looking into. Title: Re: The Downside of London Post by: HOLDorFOLD on January 26, 2009, 10:35:37 PM Hi Snoops
Did you check out that forum I mentioned? My PCN was cancelled this week after I challenged it having read about legalities of tickets etc (so many tickets are invalid just because they have the wrong woring on them!. Although in my case it was because they just issued my PCN to hit numbers). |
