Post by: EvilPie on January 21, 2009, 10:28:24 AM Most memorable has to be 9/11 because people will be talking about it forever like the world wars.
The biggest in terms of impact has to be the tsunami but because it was a natural disaster that didn't affect the west too much we can accept it and move on much easier. Obama? If he'd been elected 30 years ago it would've been the biggest thing ever and probably would never be surpassed. For it to happen now though is nothing extraordinary imo. Diana? Yeah whatever. Very upsetting short term to a lot of people but shouldn't be in this list. Berlin wall? A much bigger event than most give it credit for i think. Largely misunderstood so not as relevant as it should be to many people today myself included tbh. Title: Re: What do you think is the most memorable moment of the last 30 years? The Berlin wall was obv huge but was more a symbolic end to something rather than a sudden change. 9/11 the world changed live on TV, it was the largest unexpected event ever and will be hard to surpass.
