its ok while conected to the mains but when i take it off the mains batt goes down in less than 20 min.,.,is my batt fooked? and any idea if i could get another batt///where etc?? its a toshiba sattalite 14 inch screen thingy..,,.any help thanks... The battery is knackered, it happens after a couple of years. If i were you i would contact the Toshiba spares for a price as you may find its better to just upgrade to a new lappy given how cheap they are atm. Download this http://www.passmark.com/products/batmon.htm 30 day trial software. Will tell you the original design capacity and what it can now hold. My 7700mAh battery now maxes out at 3800 :-( Loads of replacements on the web. Originals can be pricey - Chiniese copies on eBay aren't usually too expensive.
