Title: PokerTracker3
Post by: SirPerceval on January 24, 2009, 10:47:19 AM
Sorry if this has been covered before elsewhere (if it has then could someone help me with a link)

I have just started using PT3 and am looking for any tips/advice I can get. There seems to be huge amounts of information out there and "I can't see the wood for the trees".

Also, if anyone has experience of handhq.com and how useful this is, again any help would be welcome.

Well after a week I am getting used to the workings of the software. I have configured a HUD, done manual and auto imports etc. So everything is working fine. Have also used "auto-rate" players.

I'm mainly overwelmed by the vast amount of information and nit sure where to start using it to my advantage.

I'm thinking to start by just looking at VP$IP and PFR and then expand from there but would welcome any pointers at this stage.

I am still on the 60 trial version so haven't committed yet.

don't know what game you play but this is an excellent post by longy on interpreting stats for 6max cash. even if you're playing a different game it's a good insight into what the stats mean

I use handhq to get hold of hand histories. Can vouch for it, used it a few times with no probs at all. Saves a lot of time rather than having to datamine.
