Post by: bhoywonder on January 25, 2009, 01:23:43 PM Currently on a wee break,up in the highlands..in a fantastic wee hotel famed for it,s seafood..now i love mussels and prawns but have never tried oysters.so, how do you eat em?and they are raw right? What do they taste like? Am i gonna barf everywhere? Lol
Title: Re: oysters? Post by: Christo! on January 25, 2009, 01:27:09 PM Yes eat them raw, they are nice. You can either swallow them whole or you can chew them first. Some people put tobasco sauce on them. I have eaten them when they are cooked and the are not great.

Post by: bhoywonder on January 25, 2009, 08:52:29 PM Update..oysters were surprisingly enjoyable..couple of chews and down the hatch.the taste lingers for a while..now the whole langoustines were another story,picture mr beans holiday...didn,t really know the technique to get at the meat,and the mess was unreal,bits of claws and shell flying through the air.and dangerous too,i drew blood at one point.lol..all in all great fun..
