have i played the hand right so far and what should i do after his check on river

is it worth a value bet? if i do and get reraised would it be a call or fold?
or has the hand got showdown value and just to check behind the bb

check behind 100% of the time here. the only possible holding that might call that you are beating is AT. everything else that calls beats you, everything else that you beat folds.

I agree with the check behind. Value bet 2 pair obv, but AJ just a little light here..

what do you mean "should"

the whole point of playing poker is to exploit players that do things that htey shouldn't do!  I'd vrey happily bet this river and ecxpect to get called by whatever junk they got to the river with. You as a poker player want to make money by letting your oppo's make mistakes. Dont check and forbid them that chance!
