Title: Saturday's football
Post by: Matt50 on January 31, 2009, 12:33:46 AM
I am not around tomorrow so thought i would get my bets sorted early for saturday.

Championship - Ipswich to beat Plymouth.  Ipswich seem to be finding a bit of form and Plymouth are struggling lately so 1.71 seems quite high for a home win.  The Championship can be so unpredictable but i really fancy a home win here.

League 1 - Peterboro to beat Huddersfield.  Huddersfield are inconsistent and Peterboro score goals for fun, so this one looked like good value at 2.92

Conference - Eastbourne Borough to beat Mansfield.  Eastbourne have won 4 out of 4 in January and should be a lot lower than 2.38 in my opinion.
Oxford to beat Lewes (Sunday) Lewes are the wipping boys of the league and Oxford really need a win to get back in amongst the play-offs.

0.5pts - Ipswich to beat Plymouth @ 1.71
0.5 pts - Peterboro to beat Huddersfield @ 2.92
0.5 pts - Eastbourne to beat Mansfield @ 2.38
1 pt - Oxford to beat Lewes @ 1.34

I've got a double, Villa and Bristol City..

And a treble, the two above, with the Preston Sheff Utd game to be a DRAW.

Thanks to Honest Kev Bookmakers.

Well your boys let me down big time throwing away a 2 goal lead!!!!

JUst found a bit of value in the lunchtime match with Stoke to beat Man City, draw no bet @ 2.76
Man City's away form will always give you hope of this one winning.

I agree that Stoke are probably a bit of value. My sole footbal bet of the day is Sheffield Wednesday, hoping to get 2-1 later when people start punting Birmingham to get out of it from the earlier games, already have a bit on at 15-8.

Man City
Blackburn
Burnley
Forest
Swansea
Leeds

Around 285/1 with stan james

Forest are 11/2 and are unbeaten in 6 and won 5 of them. I'd take that price whoever they were playing in this league.

If it's a red, then SWP deserves one as well, surely?

I'm on under 2.5 goals Stoke/Man City (9/10) & Fulham to beat Portsmouth (evens)

Also backing Dundee Utd (15/2) and the draw (4/1) at Rangers.

2 singles & the double up in the EPL, forgot to factor in the standard Rangers pen when struggling  ::)

Still well up on the day.
