Title: Spybot S&D issue Post by: Jim-D on February 01, 2009, 11:46:49 AM I've been having trouble updating my spyware doctor for the last week and i feel it isn't upto the job any more, i've been told spybot is the shizzle but i'm having trouble installing it,
I get so far then recieve this message... The new Conficker worm screws up DNS settings for various update services. Try Windows Update. If that fails as well, you're almost certainly infected with something. In which case, search around for removing Conficker.
Title: Re: Spybot S&D issue Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 01, 2009, 02:26:41 PM You might have to temporarily turn off System Restore and use Spybot through safe mode. I had to do this a couple of weeks ago.
Title: Re: Spybot S&D issue Post by: seven2unsuited on February 01, 2009, 02:59:01 PM download hijack this, this will show list of everything installed on comp then if there is anything you dont recognise, google it. also try adaware which i think finds more spyware than S&D, from download.com
