Title: liverpool v chelsea
Post by: turny on February 01, 2009, 12:43:29 PM
ok il stick my neck on the line and say chelsea will win at liverpool today.

chelsea are starting to find form again, not necessarily spectacular but they are winning games again. liverpool on the other hand are on a downswing.

defeat for either team today willbe the end of their challenge and a draws no good for either so expect a good game imo.

terry first/last goal at 33/1 sounds good to me

What a great game that was. Although with defences like that I can't believe that these teams are Premiership!

Am on the draw double today, so one more time pls.

i'll go for 2-1 liverpool kuyt to score anytime this season would be helpful, chasing balls back down into your own corner flag is all well and good, some goals wouldn't go amiss though...

Just on Torres to score first.

Gl to ChipRich,

he had a Half time/full time double on..

Sun/Draw with Liv/Draw

and he also had a 1-1 double. Sick sweat for him, glgl.

Mrs went with liverpool to win 2-1.
I'd agree with that except they'll probably give it away in the last minute 2-2 for me.

FFS, I had a saver on Liverpool at HT as I couldn't see Chelsea winning with that dick Anelka on the pitch. And even im fuming at that decision! Ruins the game. Mascherano's booking earlier and Cole's straight after were bs too!

He just got his first decision of the game right, Gerrard trying to fkin cheat.

2nd decision - anyone booked for dissent deserves it.

I don't think that was a red card and I'm a scouser ffs, knew as soon as I saw Riley's name that he was gonna fk it up, he's gotta grab the headlines in big games!

Title: Re: liverpool v chelsea
Post by: Colchester Kev on February 01, 2009, 05:36:36 PM
Chelsea's first shot on target all game  LOL

rookie is spot on, Riley is a joke, but i think we all knew that before this game started anyway.

Title: Re: liverpool v chelsea
Post by: KarmaDope on February 01, 2009, 05:39:45 PM
Agreed.

I can see Chelsea nicking this tbf - Drogba normally conjures something out of nowhere when needed and we're pretty good at conceding last goals recently - I'm not nervous at all...

Makes a complete difference to the game!! You say that Lampard shouldnt but oh well Bosingwa should, thats it evened up. Wrong.

Lampard should have been on for the last 30 mins or whatever and Chelsea may have held out. Bosingwa then wouldn't have kicked in frustration!

Erm,the red card was the worst decision this season it wasn't even a freekick it was 50/50 tackle which lampard looked to come out worse on,torres is the best stirker prem if he hadn't been injured most season liverpool might have had a shout for the prem as it is man yoo have already won it.

Will probably get shot down by Chelsea fans, but what goes around comes around IMO.

3 or 4 years ago Alonso's ankle was broken by an awful Lampard tackle and he got away with it - justice done if maybe a little late.

3 match ban for Bosingwa on the way surely.

One thing I cant spot on this thread is just how bad Chelsea were, (to be fair I fancied us at XI vs XI without the red) and consistently have been vs the rest of the top 4 this season? WTF?

Mikel will never replace Makelele, the wingers are just dross and what has happened to Cech the last 18 months? Ballack is not half the player he is for Germany any more and they miss Essien so badly.

I agree about everything else though. If anyone should have walked it was Gerrard not Lampard. (Although Gerrard ran the game in spells Lampard went missing as standard) We would be fooked without Nando.
