Title: solve this Post by: ACE2M on February 02, 2009, 03:43:16 PM It takes george 3 hrs to clean his car of snow – it takes Eli 6 hrs to clean the same car – working together how long will it take to clear the car?
people who google go to hell. (seems easy to me but don't know the answer yet and 3 people gave a different answer) Title: Re: solve this Post by: Bongo on February 02, 2009, 03:45:17 PM George can clear 2/3rds in 2 hours, Eli 1/3 in 2 hour, thus 2 hours.
I await to be told the obvious thing I have missed so I can claim illness as an excuse :) Title: Re: solve this Post by: Colchester Kev on February 02, 2009, 03:46:23 PM ely is a dim fker .... If George has already cleaned the car, ely should have stayed in bed !!
Title: Re: solve this Post by: StuartHopkin on February 02, 2009, 03:47:46 PM You beat me to it Bongo.
Its obv unless there is some catch about George and Eli not getting on and everytime lazy slow Eli cleans a bit George throws a snowball at him. I thought, Britain, its the law to bring everything to a standstill?
UMM, George is cleaning SNOW, Eli is just cleaning the car, there's no mention of snow, so 6 hours? Title: Re: solve this Post by: bolt pp on February 02, 2009, 03:53:45 PM is "clean his car of snow" a euphemism for something, have goerge and eli got there hands down eachothers trousers in an alleyway somewhere?

(seems easy to me but don't know the answer yet and 3 people gave a different answer) It's impossible to know. 3hrs to clean the car of snow, 6 hrs to clean the car only but we don't know what clearing it entails. am I right?
