1/ Wade v Part 2/ Klaasen v Jenkins 3/ King v Mardle 4/ Taylor v Barnie Whats the bets for it??? I missed the first Match (Wade v Part), so just have the initial Treble on: Klaasen, King and Taylor, its pays around 5/1 or just under. I will be backing his opponent in his first few games. Gary 'The dreamboy" anderson is the biggest talking horse in darts history. On the few times ive seen him he won't be nearly good enough to compete at this level.
As regards to the PDC. I got quite heavily involved on mervyn king to beat wade at 8/5 on the monday. I think mervyn will be 2nd in the premier league and anything over 5/4 should be taken to beat john part next week. I think Klaasen and Mardle will be fighing it out for bottom spot. Wayne is too much of a showman and is not serius enough to be competative against this calibre of opponents. Klaasen comutes from holland to england every week which cannot be good fro his preparation. James wade is the most overrated player in darts history. I think he wont make the top 4. Last year i made my first visits to the PDC and the BDO to watch live and get smashed. The PDC without doubt is the better darts. But i really did prefer the BDO at the lakeside. Its just like walking into a social club, and the crowd are a lot more freindly. The PDC fans are like a football crowd, and the BDO are like proper working mens club lads. He seems to raise his game against Barney and Taylor and is not so good against players he expects to beat. Klaasen seems to be settling down a bit now in the PL, and took as many legs off King last week as his 3 previous opponents combined.
Jenkins has played really well the last couple of weeks and I dont think Part is playing well enough to beat him, but have bet on the DNB in case of another 7-7 for these 2. I am tempted by King's price. I hate the guy, but he is playing well and Taylor does seem out of sorts, although he did easily win a tournament in Germany in the week so may be back to form. Also bet King -2.5 legs against Klaasen, that lost and Bet Jenkins most 180's v Wade that lost, (Wade hot 8 total, 7 in first 6 legs!!) Next game, ive changed my mind after watching King in the first game, im now backing Barnie -2.5 legs against King @ 2.26 lost that too, then bet Wade to bt Taylor 8-5 @ 20.0, and 8-6 @ 12.0, i managed to lay off when he was 7-3 up, but only for my stake back! Ive been three times now, and rarely miss a match throughout the year, at the start of any match, the crowd just choose a player to cheer and boo the opponent! Fekk knows why? A lot of people boo Mervyn King but they do not know what he is like in person! Yes he is a little bit arrogant but he is nowhere near as bad as people make him out to be. He is a very intense character on the dartboard, extremely dedicated and talented with it. He is always full of energy and it's very rare you see him flat with nothing left to offer. Take last night when he was miles behind Wadey. he pulled back to 8-6! He never gives in. He's a class player who is underrated by a lot of people. He is on a par with Taylor and Barneveld at his best, and only just behind James Wade. He's better than the rest of them, he just lacks the consistency required to be in the top 3. Gutted I didnt back King to get to the final tbh, I couldve got good odds at the start of the season. Lets hope they dont invite another former world champ next year, Klassen was shocking and should never be invited being world #24 (which he was at time of invitation). |
