Post by: AlexMartin on February 05, 2009, 09:49:18 PM
Villain is a maniac. Doesnt 3b much but plays a 62/30/4 style. Obv deep ip i been isoing a lot and he has called every time. He does seem to understand hand strenght and the last time he donked into me i raised and he folded.

best multistreet plan?

on flop flat/raise? if raise betsize please.

I def flat here as he's capable of laying down when his donk is raised

same again on turn or if he checks I may be tempted to check behind to let him donk the river

overbet/rep the steal on the river if he checks again, jam if he bets

I like gatso's plan, but I'm not sure it's best for getting all the chips in.

I think I flat the flop, and raise any non-heart turn, say 2.5x his bet...2/3 bet if he checks. This way we might make money if he has a made hand and if he is drawing...

Raise tbh. If he knows hand strengths then he knows we should be raising with a lot of Ahrt x hands vs this lead and the times we flop the nut flush is pretty rare. Make it $100 so that his two pair/set/smaller flush range will likely peel a safe card to push or might even decide to push now.

yeah i think this was right, anyway. turn, i think we deffo need to raise as this pot is too small, how much? or flat again, make some ridic overbet on the end and hope he levels himself (btw gatso, i like this line v a true LAG, but a maniac has poor handreading skills and will just interpret a big bet as a big hand imo).

Lol @ his turn bet

It looks like he's folding but I think you must raise here. I'd say to about $70-80...

His running 62/30 he is probably betting for info, or betting 22.50 cos that is how many beers he has had.

I would raise Alex and hope he spazzs out on you and shoves.

i think he has a strong hand but not great and he is just trying to get to showdown with a strange line.

If this guy is v.aggro etc and has crazy stats would raising his donk bet on the flop not a decent idea? If you have been doing this to the guy before and got him to fold why change it because the value of your hand is changed to the nuts? With the stacks being this deep on the flop do u not wana bloat the pot up and get max value? The guy could have something as fishy as  Kh Js or  Qh Jd here.

As for on the turn I raise his bet.

Does he get it in with Td Tc and u ping the  Kh on the river? :P

i raised to $75. He calls.

River he check folded. think i fked up by not bloating it faster.

Lol, I actually missed that the board paired, thought we still had the nuts...but bet looks more like a blocker bet than an inducing bet

Perhaps could've raised the flop in retrospect Alex but think you played it fine...
