Title: Todays Footie
Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on February 07, 2009, 12:37:41 PM
Who's on who?

I've gone for singles on Newcastle away to West Brom at a far too big 5/2. And also Liverpool at 4/5.

Tempted to get on Villa at the mo too at 13/8. Hmmm..

Tbh I just thought the same and will reinvest if they drift any more. Especially as it looks possible that Martin's is back for them today..

Villa, Newc and Arsenal for me.

Dont bet on Arsenal. We haven't lost to any of the $ky 4 this season in the league and the last time we played them at WHL we won 5-1... ;whistle;

Put your money on ManYoo. Upton Park is their bogey ground and west ham are second in the form table but ManYoo are going to spank them tomorrow.

I would be singing in the streets already if Villa hadn't had their two goals disallowed! I got on them on my drive for decent ££... Cmon, hold these two games please and then Liverpool win later for the absolute cake.

No seriously, the Liverpool XI looks abs dire prob one of the worst teams in years and most defensive minded

Reina, Arbeloa, Carra, Agger, Skrtel, Dossena, Aurelio, Mascherano, Benayoun, Babel, Ngog...............Make sense of that???

Torres only played a handful of games for Liverpool all season and is being rested because he's "tired" despite them having a 2 week break after todays games because of the Internationals.

no doubt he'll play for Spain though midweek - another Benitez plan about to backfire?

It's true what all the pundits have been saying about Benitez having mangled the whole team with his rant against Fergerson, have completely flopped since then!!!!

Maybe it was the character of individual players they couldnt step up and back their manager and let the pressure get to them on the pitch but theyve mangled it.

that rant will become synonymous with how to throw away a genuine league title challenge i one move.

they might scrape a win here against pompy but even with a depleted team look so wrong.

his rant is comparable to that guy from the home shopping channel in the early 90s saying what they sold was shit and wiping billions from the shares over night

Agree with this.

Rafa has proved himself to be completely clueless this season.

We could do with another striker, maybe someone like Keane.......

What a game. Not really fussed about the team selection tbh, we dominated, they had about 3 chances and scored twice. The only reason it was close is because 3 good defenders, Carra, Agger and Skrtel had a bad day and Reina messed up.

Torres is the best stiker in the world but we shouldn't have sold Keane fullstop.

Look on the bright side Kev you have only spent £60m on strikers.

Eboue is a C***, always has been, I just wish we would sell him.

I don't agree. The only reason it was close was becasue they gave you two goals, two obsolute free gifts. Crouch & Distin, Pool created about as much as Pompey fek all.

Babel missed an open goal because he was scared to use his left foot. Kuyt had a goal disallowed on a very marginal offside. Benayoun had a one on one with James which he looked certain to convert.

I think Liverpool absolutely murdered Pompey.
