Staking proposal

Background

I’m an mtt player. Pure n simple. Have been playing $5-$15 mtt’s for approx 2 years, am comfortably up, but I want to start moving up. I could’ve done it with my winnings, but real life gets in the way of that.

In the last year, I’ve been on several final tables eg finished 6th in the 35k on Blonde, both the A and B Early Doubles on Full  (http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/12206)Tilt (http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/12206), won the 6k on Blonde in January as well as consecutive final tables on the 10k on Blonde. Have also gone very deep on stars ( 10th and 16th in the 30k)

These are the tournaments I intend to play, all on Blonde. Due to work, I may end up playing more of the later starts than the earlier starts, on some nights I may play just 1 or 2 mtts, on others, would be playing them all.

The only other Blonde tournaments I’ll be playing when undertaking this proposal will be the Blonde league ( if I can play them), which I will play with my own roll ( I will keep very precise records which can be sent to any of the stakers at any time.

The amount I’m looking for is $1500, obviously 10% blocks for $150, 5% blocks at $75.

It will be 50/50 on winnings. Eg if the pot at the end of the staking period ( when the $1500 has been spent on buy ins) is $2500, I will be keeping $500, and the $500 split between the stakers.

At the end of the 1st period of buy ins, the staker will also be given the chance to withdraw from the agreement. If in profit, they will receive their full stake back + agreed % of profit. If in loss, they will receive the right % back. ( eg if the pot is $1000, then if someone has staked 10% for $150, they will receive $100 back). I’d imagine it will take between 30-50 days to play this amount, it all obviously depends on my work hours.

I will update this opening post with % sold. If and when  I’m fully sold out, I’ll be getting in touch with everyone who wishes to stake me.

Can I ask why you want to keep the Blonde games seperate?  Buy 1st period of buy-ins do you mean when you've spent exactly $1,500 on entry fees?

Last 16, comfortable.. only had premium hands go to showdown and played pretty tight yet aggressive

At 500/1k, raised to 4k with  Ac Qc, sb tanks and shoves.. I call.. he obv has shoved with 33

errr good question.. seemed a good idea at the time.. what would you have done? Always good getting advice..

Your leaving yourself far less room to manouvere post-flop, as you probably will have far less effective stack sizes.  Plus with a 4xBB raise your rarely going to see action or a re-pop from hands your beating such as AJ-A8/9, KQ, QJs, J10s etc etc.  If you get raised it'll nearly always be a pair or AK...

You make the opponents decision a lot easier, if the BB is sitting there with a marginal type hand facing a 2.5x raise your putting him to decsions, making him think. With a 4x raise he'll chuck all those hands with out question, ok you may pick up the blinds a touch more, but you'll rarely win a bigger pot unless it all goes in pre-flop and you win a flip.

Plus, on the rare occasions you raise 4x, someone re-pops/moves-in behind, then someone else gets involved and you have to fold your wasting nearly twice as many chips as you should be...

This is really solid advice, 2.5x ftw or if you are shorter than 12bbs just open shove.

 At 500/1k I'm happy with the raise to 2.5k. What would u do with 500/1k/100, effectively with 2.3k in the pot already?

Are you going to continue after the first $1500 of MTTs are done? I wondered, if you did really well whether you would want to convert your share into a workable BR and keep 100% of the winnings?

I'll be continuing if my backers want me to.

2nd point, not at the mo. Prefer the stability, and hopefully over the course of the next 6 months or so can build myself a damn decent roll.

Monday was most frustrating, with the chance for 3 final tables, managing 6th in one, running my bb steal into KK in another, and losing AK to QJ aipf was the 3rd.

just realised I was refunded a set of these tournaments, so add about $100 to the amount to go :)
