Oh happy memories of my Northern Soul days. Black trousers, black crewe neck jumper with the badges sewn all the way down the sides of both, white socks (WTF!!) and my dancing brouges. All nighters throughout Scotland and the ultimate trip to Wigan Casino...............happy days indeed. May just find some of my fave tracks from that time and post them here. I believe a rare 45 of Frank Wilson - Do I love you has just sold/about to be sold for a small fortune circa 10-15k YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkpenzFNbpk Geo Title: Re: That's my telly sorted out for tonight then.. Post by: Geo the Sarge on February 20, 2009, 07:39:26 PM Been copied many times and quite well by some, however I'll always love the original from Gloria Jones. I remember in the 70's it was covered brilliantly by Ruth Swann but can't find it on youtube

Post by: AndrewT on February 20, 2009, 11:21:01 PM The whole phenomenon of Northern Soul is one of the greatest happenings in music history.
That a whole genre of American music can be just about forgotten about, and then rediscovered and kept alive in a drab town such as Wigan is just brilliant.
