Title: JJ in the hole (again)
Post by: Graham C on February 23, 2009, 11:05:14 PM
Blinds 20/40, early mtt.   Caller A limps utg, caller B limps, we raise to 160 with JJ two from the cut off.  Blinds fold but both callers see the flop

 9s Js Ts

Caller A (UTG) checks, Caller B leads for 320 into the 540 pot

There's a chance we did what we shouldn't do, but what should we do in these situations?

Stack sizes - Us 2.9k, caller A 1.8k, caller B 1.3k

hmmm, pretend this is in the Learning Centre please :)

I think the answer is:

We are going broke in this hand.

^^Lol probs true

I'd just whack a healthy raise in man, to like 900. It's effectively the same as shoving cos of both of their stacks. You could also just shove to be fair...

Fold pre.  You know it makes sense.

may as well shove. a pot size bet puts them both in

I raise more pre, 200 ftw

Shove, worstcase scenario against a flopped flush we still have 30% chance of winning.  If this is a tourney under $20 I would try and raise more pre-flop, with 2 limpers nothing wrong with 220-240, you raise to 160 the limpers are never ever folding and the blinds may also come along for the ride, we dont want a multi-way pot if we can help it.

With JJ you have to flat call, and then fold to a raise.
