Title: What do you do in these spots? Post by: Amatay on February 25, 2009, 04:42:40 AM I dont know if the turn is good or bad?? Its only a $30 doll mtt on Party but i always struggle in these spots. One limper and i make a small raise with intention of isolating perhaps i should have made it bigger, nevertheless the fish swould prob still peel and i get 3 callers. It all checks round and i hit my cad and the sb fires, one fish folds and theres another to act behind. Do you raise, fold or just call. I hate calling but raising commits alot of my stack and bascially says i have hit my king. The sb may have checked the flop hoping to raise but has now fired after it got checked around and he could have me crushed, help???

Title: Re: What do you do in these spots? Post by: daviebhoy on February 25, 2009, 07:12:01 AM I would make it 1000 total to charge any draws out. Should be called by any other king and probably the draws aswell. A c-bet on flop would have been cheaper though. No idea why you checked the flop on a board likely to have missed everyone.
Title: Re: What do you do in these spots? Post by: daviebhoy on February 25, 2009, 07:17:30 AM If you are worried sb has you crushed in this spot all the time then you prob should fold pre. If you get re-raised on turn fold. I'd also check-call most rivers.

Just fold, he aint leading into this with worse, calling to fold the river isn't horrible. Title: Re: What do you do in these spots? Post by: MC on February 25, 2009, 01:36:45 PM No idea why you checked the flop on a board likely to have missed everyone. Lol, diasagree with this completely, could you get a more co-ordinated board that is likely to have hit the blinds! You're only beating K7 and KT-KJ in this spot I would imagine, folding is probably best with a player behind you. If you were last to act, I'd probs call the one bet... Title: Re: What do you do in these spots? Post by: AlexMartin on February 25, 2009, 02:08:25 PM I probs call and mostly fold river. He will play faceup on river if hes any good.
Title: Re: What do you do in these spots? Post by: Amatay on February 25, 2009, 03:25:34 PM I just folded. Im not sure if it is too weak but by flatting i am basically telling the table that i have just hit my king. I reckon i am crushed here most of the time. If i flat then i prob have to call a river bet and i have no idea.
Cheers for comments. Title: Re: What do you do in these spots? Post by: Rupert on February 27, 2009, 05:54:54 AM your bet sizing preflops pretty awful. i call down in these spots
