Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: Claw75 on February 25, 2009, 06:38:05 PM weird timing this - Matt and I were watching the quiz programme that was on immediately before and I was getting all the answers right that they were getting wrong. He said it was a shame I didn't do that on eggheads! I still maintain that their set of questions in the final round was way easier than ours (i.e. I knew all their answers)

Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: kinboshi on February 25, 2009, 06:49:50 PM lol at stitchin up kibosh puttin him against kevin gg you had a good run We went LAG instead of TAG. We should have saved Andrew for the final as well (that was the plan) - but we ballsed that up too. Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: Claw75 on February 25, 2009, 06:52:14 PM lol at stitchin up kibosh puttin him against kevin gg you had a good run We went LAG instead of TAG. We should have saved Andrew for the final as well (that was the plan) - but we ballsed that up too. was just saying that to Matt - I'd have fucked up on the same politics question as Andrew, and we'd have had him in the final :( Still think the researchers were having a bit of a laugh with the Sark answer (and Baines later on) Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: TightEnd on February 25, 2009, 06:54:37 PM red shirt :dontask:

CJ normally wears loud shirts, but because mine was particularly special they made him wear a horrible plain green one instead which he didn't like. Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: bolt pp on February 25, 2009, 11:51:19 PM everyday i stare at the t.v at this time in anticipation i'll be back on the telly, taday is that day, wooooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooo!! fyp just happend to be watching the program before, yeah alright! ::) Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: Claw75 on February 25, 2009, 11:56:18 PM Went to Luton tonight. I still maintain that their set of questions in the final round was way easier than ours (i.e. I knew all their answers) i still maintain that giving a question about family marriage to a team containing a relative of the royal family is unfair.Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: rex008 on February 26, 2009, 02:17:52 PM Went to Luton tonight. You're right, although I only know that after wikipedia-ing talc - I always thought it was a sedimentary calcium carbonate form, but it a metamorphic silicate. Well well well, I learn something new every day. I'd have got cement, BTW :). I'd have got ha-ha too, for that matter. But not Asquith. And I'd have got first cousin without any of the Egghead showboating too. Well known fact that, surely? And I'd have got first cousin without any of the Egghead showboating too. Well known fact that, surely? I just couldn't think of any powders, other than cocaine - and I didn't think it was that. They asked us to expand on our answers to pad it out- but then when they show it they actually cut out loads of the questions that were asked. It looks like that question was the first sudden-death one between me and Kevin - but it wasn't. Cement was sooooo obvious though. Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: Indestructable on February 26, 2009, 05:09:53 PM There were several sudden death questions cut due to time. It's a shame as I felt we did better than the show portrays. I think they cut at least ten of mine. ;whistle;

We needed to wrap Andrew in final round cotton wool and throw Claire to the green t-shirted royal family related train driving bookish and grandmotherish wolves This decision haunts me to this day Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: Claw75 on February 26, 2009, 05:20:34 PM I take full responsibility for not sacrificing Claw at the altar of LAGness, ::) I might actually have got the politics questions right!! Sark and Squiffy in the politics round Title: Re: eggheads repeat - now Post by: Claw75 on February 26, 2009, 06:02:04 PM Baines and Ronnie Barker were in the final Sark and Squiffy in the politics round as I said, I wouldn't have got squiffy, but I don't think my politics knowledge is that bad that putting me forward for it would have been a sure-fire sacrifice. Very probably though, in fairness :) |
